NII TEIKO INVITED TO HOWARD UNIVERSITY TO TEACH MASTER CLASSES
Following an invitation from Howard University, Nii Teiko was on the historic campus of Howard University in Washington, DC and led several Master Classes to students in the Chadwick Boseman College of Fine Arts, and College of Arts and Sciences from October 31, 2024 – November 13, 2024. In addition to the real world experience that he provided to the Art students, the students in African Studies and students in African languages also expressed high praise for his contextualization of the relationship between culture and society, and the expression of art among creatives in Ghana.
Howard University President Ben Vinson, III hosted Nii Teiko during a football game on campus. Provost Anthony Wutoh, also hosted Tii Teiko in various University gatherings and events. Interim Dean Gwendolyn Everett, and Dr. Raimi Gbadamosi, Chair of the Department of Art also extended their deep thanks and appreciation for his willingness to teach and guide Howard students as they develop their own unique interests and expertise.
While in Washington, DC, Nii Teiko also conducted a solo exhibit at the Prince Georges Church of Christ, where he shared details of the development of his unique “Lineism” style, and also provided lessons to interested guests.
